TB Joshua is one of Nigeria’s best-known and most respected pastors. Legend has it that his mother carried him in her womb for no less than 15 months, and that he received a direct calling from the Lord at a very young age. Indeed, when he was just young himself, the Prophet TB Joshua set up the SCOAN (Synagogue Church of All Nations), regardless of the fact that he was able to count his followers on two hands. From there, however, he grew to where he is today, with a super church in Lagos, Nigeria and a television channel, Emmanuel TV, through which he can spread his sermons.
The work of TB Joshua has been pivotal to the positive international image that Nigeria has built for itself and for the economy as a whole. Thousands of people have been lifted out of poverty thanks to his work, and his dedication continues to inspire the masses. Joshua is a family man, with a wife and two beautiful children, but his heart is with SCOAN, through which he is able to spread the word of God as he receives it. He has relinquished all control to the Lord, allowing himself to be a vessel for salvation and deliverance.
TB Joshua Has Raised the Dead?
TB Joshua believes in performing miracles, but he takes no credit for those. Rather, he believes that the Lord speaks and acts through him. Hence, when he received message that his anointing water helped raise a young boy from the dead, he refused to take credit for it, thanking the Lord and his divine plans for the son of Onyinyechukwu Joy Obodoefuna instead.
Back in 2015, Joy’s son collapsed all of the sudden. His pulse dropped and he effectively died in his living room. Joy and her family, originally from Nigeria, had been TB Joshua followers for a long time and always kept Anointing Water with them since they would not be able to attend the SCOAN directly. When Joy’s son collapsed, she rushed to grab the water and anointed her son with it. They didn’t realize that, at that exact moment, the Prophet TB Joshua was praying, which was broadcast live, including into Joy’s living room. Surprisingly, the moment that the Prophet told his followings that they were delivered, Joy’s son opened his eyes and started speaking again.
Joy is not alone in her testimony. She instantly contacted SCOAN to tell of her story, wanting to thank the Prophet. However, TB Joshua replied that her son had survived thanks to the power of the Lord, not anything that he had done himself. She received her testimony, undeniable proof that Jesus Christ had spared them and had greater plans for her son. He encourages her to speak to her son at length about this, because he may have received his own divine message, being given an opportunity to do good for the world. The prophet himself will soon be moving to Israel and Joy’s son may just be able to spread the message in South Africa, for instance.
